Top Ten Books I've Read So Far This Year
I've noticed this year I'm not giving as many books my top rating, at the time of writing this post I've given 5 stars to just three books which is unheard of. On the other hand there are quite a few picture books with five stars because I'm not the one rating them! Here's my list of the best books I've read so far this year, there are 11 rather than 10 but as I started with 17 I think 11 is a good compromise :)
I finished Poison a few days ago and really enjoyed it. I'm desperate to read the second book now! I really want to read Stolen Songbird, because it looks amazing. :)
ReplyDeleteHappy to see Jasmyn on your list! It's a beautiful cover and a lovely story. I'm looking forward to reading Glaze, hopefully soon!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you thought The Days of the Deer was good! I recently bought it in Spanish so I could practice reading Spanish. It's probably going to be a while before I read it though, because it definitely doesn't look like an easy read ;).
ReplyDeleteOmg. I forgot that I own Face like glass! :D Glad to see it on your list.

ReplyDeleteI got to read this Peter Nimble and some of these I haven't heard of but will check out. Great list this week.

I've never heard of any of these but they all look terrific. Great list.
ReplyDeleteI've been wanting to read Poison and the other Sarah Pinborough fairy tale adaptations for a while, but my library doesn't have them! BOO!! I might have to just purchase them myself, since I've heard so many good things, and fairy tale adaptations are just so fun anyway. Great list!
ReplyDeletePoison sounds great! Nice list!
ReplyDeleteNot only have I not read any of these, but I haven't even HEARD of them. POISON does sound good, though. I'll definitely be checking it out.
ReplyDeleteHappy TTT!
Ooh, I've been hearing very good things about STOLEN SONGBIRD. And the cover for JASMYN is very, very pretty. Thanks for stopping by!

Some great books coming out of Angry Robot/Strange Chemistry. I keep meaning to get caught up but keep forgetting - I want to read vN and Cracked and Stolen Songbird...
ReplyDeleteI actually haven't heard of any of these, but their covers are beautiful. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteStolen songbird made my list too! It's an AMAZING book! Also, I recently read Cuckoo Song by Frances Hardinge and thought it was amazing, so would be really intrigued to read more by her!
