Top ~~Ten~~ Twenty Books With X Setting

I've chosen boarding schools as my setting this week, mainly because I have an amazing list of books with that setting. I also make no apologies for this being twenty books long and not ten...There's pretty much every sort of boarding school here. Classic, modern, magical, abroad, secret and plenty in between! I've read all of these but if you have any boarding school books I've missed leave them in the comments!

This could be a strange list as, if I follow the list on Goodreads, it will have authors on that I haven't read for years but because they are so prolific I've read dozens of books by them! However if I skip a few of them there are far more recent authors ie. from the last decade...

Once upon a time there was a book nerd called Fi who was ~~slightly~~ crazy obsessed with fairy tales. When the topic came up as a Top Ten Tuesday idea it was obvious to all in the kingdom that she would never be able to post a list of ten(!). And so the epic list of fairy tales was born with twenty-something titles, from Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella, The Goose Girl, Bluebeard through to Hansel & Gretel, Tam Lin, The Brave Little Tailor and many more. After reading the list everyone lived happily ever after!

Top Ten 2014 Releases I Meant To Read But Didn't Get To

There are a lot of 2014 releases that I didn't get round to last year. I've been getting together my statistics for last year and if I've worked it correctly, just under a third of the books I read last year were published last year! Which means two thirds weren't... Here's a sample list of 2014 releases that I didn't read last year, kicking myself about not reading them last year and will read, soon hopefully. Especially Ophelia and the Marvelous Boy because I've heard so many good things. Maybe not Gods & Monsters because that's it, series over - same for Book of Life.

This was difficult! It seems that I have rather a lot of authors whose books I own in large quantities as I have a habit of buying entire back catalogues once I've decided I like an author. It has also made me realize just how many books by my favorite authors I'm missing, I'm resisting the urge to go crazy and buy them all!
