Book Haul #95

Stacking the Shelves is a weekly event hosted on Tynga's Reviews where we can share what new books we've picked up this past week be they bought, borrowed or downloaded. There are also lots of other 'book haul' memes out there for you to choose from!

Well, if I stick to my resolutions (or goals) this is the first of many hauls where I don't mention huge amounts of books that I've bought! I'm off to France later this year for a fabulous holiday so need to start saving like crazy for it. This means drastically cutting back on my book buying (and my everything else buying) and sticking to my 'you can buy 3 books a month if you've donated at least 25 to the library' goal. This means my library get some great books, I still get the thrill of buying books but without overdoing it and I can finally clear some space on my shelf to get rid of some of the stacks on the floor I have teetering around the house!

Top Ten Tuesday #3

Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by the lovely people at The Broke and the Bookish. This week's topic is TTT Rewind so you get to pick a TTT theme that you missed or want to revisit. I've decided to go with -

Top Ten Books I HAD To Buy...But Are Still Sitting On My Shelf Unread

In no particular order here are the ten books which I am completely incredulous that I haven't read yet, considering how often I recommend them to people!

Cinder - Marissa Meyer

Shadowfell - Juliet Marillier

Enshadowed - Kelly Creagh

The Girl Of Fire & Thorns - Rae Carson

The Iron Thorn - Caitlin Kittredge

Unearthly - Cynthia Hand

Bitterblue - Kristin Cashore

Insurgent - Veronica Roth

Throne Of Glass - Sarah J Maas

The Girl In The Steel Corset - Kady Cross

It would appear I have a problem with starting, continuing and finishing books in a series! I'm especially horrified that I've not read Bitterblue, Cinder or Shadowfell and I've no excuses except that I'm too easily distracted sometimes by other shiny books. I will definitely be reading all ten of these this year though so watch this space.
