Favorite Covers of 2014

I'll read a book regardless of whether I do or don't like the cover. Occasionally though my cover love takes over and I buy a book purely because it's pretty, I've discovered both great books & truly awful books this way. This list is a sample of my favorite covers of the year, both YA and Adult, read and unread.

Top Ten New-To-Me Authors I Read In 2014

A lot of new-to-me authors were with first books so will feature in my list of debut authors I've read this year - one of my Christmas posts going up later this month. This is a mix of established and debut authors who are new to me, really struggled to do this as I seem to be more of a creature of habit than I realized!

Book Haul #91

Stacking the Shelves is a weekly event hosted on Tynga's Reviews where we can share what new books we've picked up this past week be they bought, borrowed or downloaded. There are also lots of other 'book haul' memes out there for you to choose from!

I've been really good this week, I bought one book! With Christmas just around the corner (how did that happen???) I guess it's time to start buying presents for other people although how long not buying books will last I don't know! I had a great week in books, I won a copy of Prince Lestat from the lovely Jenny at Wondrous Reads which, when it arrived, was signed by Anne Rice. This made my week really as when I was a teenager I remember devouring all her books like a crazy person. Some good review requests were approved this week too so can't wait to get started on them!
