Stacking the Shelves is a weekly event hosted on
Tynga's Reviews where we can share what new books we've picked up this past week be they bought, borrowed or downloaded. There
are also lots of other 'book haul' memes out there for you to choose
from!
It looks bad, it really does... There's quite a few books this week but I had a $20 gift certificate which covered some of my spend, honestly! There was also lots of squeeing earlier this week when I decided to take a risk on clicking request for Heir of Fire and got approved!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I think that's the biggest title I've decided to see what happens if I request it but it made me oh so happy!

Congrats on getting Heir of Fire! It looks awesome. :) Those Terry Pratchett covers are amazing too. I hope you enjoy your books.
ReplyDeleteI'm going to do a Throne/Crown re-read and then get stuck into Heir, can't wait! Gollancz have released/are releasing 21 of the Discworld books with these fab covers, I'm just waiting for the last 5 to be published over the next 2 months :)
DeleteLooks like a good week! I really need to get on with reading Fangirl, and I'm getting intrigued by Take Back the Skies.
ReplyDeleteAlso, I love the tie-in media campaign thing for Say Her Name, have you seen it? For some reason Bloody Mary scares me out of my skin, so I wooon't be reading it, but I love the advertising.
Fangirl is the last of RR's published books that I have left to read and I want to read it before the thing in July! Bloody Mary is one of my favourite legends, read the book, loved it and the media campaign was a touch of genius :)
DeleteEeeeh! Congrats on getting approved for Heir of Fire! ME TOO. XD XXD So so excited for it!!!! And also Fangirl is brilliant. One of my favourite reads of this year still! I did not get on well with Take Back the Skies though. :| Hope you have better luck with it! My StS!

ReplyDeleteGood haul this week. Fangirl is a book that I've been meaning to read for ages. Happy reading! My STS.
ReplyDeleteVery nice, didn't realize Heir of Fire was available on NG...of course, I'll just need to catch up with Crown of Midnight first :)
ReplyDelete~Mogsy
I didn't either until I saw someone mention it somewhere and then I was straight over to NG and clicking the request button :) Hope you get to read it (and Crown of Midnight) soon!
DeleteI LOVE Rainbow Rowell! Fangirl wasn't my favorite of hers, but still great overall!
ReplyDeleteJenni @ bookandbabes
I got Heir of Fire too!! I was sure I wasn't going to get approved, so it was a big surprise to me. Enjoy that book and the rest of your new ones!
ReplyDeleteI'm dying to read Koko Takes a Holiday, I must try to get that one! Um, Say Her Name--just no on that one. The Bloody Mary myth scares the crap out of me!
