Book Haul #73

Stacking the Shelves is a weekly event hosted on Tynga's Reviews where we can share what new books we've picked up this past week be they bought, borrowed or downloaded. There are also lots of other 'book haul' memes out there for you to choose from!

Another great week on the buying front, one pre-order which I've been waiting for what feels like forever and a special edition hardcover of one of my favorite books. I think my postman thinks I'm sick or something as he hasn't had to stagger up the path under the weight of a dozen parcels! To make up for the lack of buying books it was library week this week so a nice big stack of books appeared on Thursday, lots of great reading for Easter.

Bought

Dreams of Gods & Monsters | Fahrenheit 451
Borrowed

The Other Life | Daughter of the Blood | Black City

Dearly Beloved | Happy Ever After | Dreams & Shadows

Dark Hear Surrender | Exit Kingdom | Boy Snow Bird

The Ninth Circle | Jasmyn | Bird Box

    1. Fahrenheit 451 is one of my all-time favorite books! I think I've maybe read it about 15 times now? I've wanted to buy this hardcover copy since it was published but managed to hold out until now!

      Thanks for stopping by :)

    1. I've had them on my 'buy' list for ages as I really enjoyed her Lex Trent books. When I came across them both in the library it would have been rude not to borrow them!

    1. I feel like I've been waiting a long time but as I've only just recently read Daughter of Smoke & Bone and I'm halfway through Days of Blood & Starlight I can't complain! Can't wait to start it though :)

    2. Yes, I have to start Smoke & Bone myself. SO many great books so little time. If they only paid us well to read, I would be in heaven!

  4. I need to catch up with Daughter of Smoke and Bone series! I have read the first one and I really liked it, but I sort of forgot the whole trilogy for a while.. :/ Black City seems like a really intriguing book as well. I don't have hots for vampires anymore, but I think this book could rekindle my interest for them. :) Great haul - enjoy your goodies an have a great weekend!

  9. Great haul! I really loved Black City, though I haven't read the sequel yet. Ray Bradbury's book looks really good as well; I've heard so many great things about it but I haven't gotten the chance to read it. I hope you enjoy your books and thanks for sharing!

  10. I haven't seen a fair few of these books before! I've just opened about seven tabs to check them out. The Other Life went straight onto my want list, I love those sort of books. The Alex Bell covers are gorgeous but sadly, I'm more of YA girl. Although Bird Box went straight on my list too, so I guess it depends on what the subject matter is! Nice to see Dearly, Beloved on a blog too, I've loved Dearly, Departed's cover FOREVER. I still need to read it though. Whoops?

This week I visited UK's most beautiful library! Find me Under The Mountain

  16. You know, I've been dying to read Black City for ages (but when it came out I kind of got put off it by some of the reviews, and kind of sounded too much like The Immortal Rules) but I should really give it a try. Happy reading and happy Easter! :)
