Book Haul #120, Or The One Where I Nearly Gave In...

Stacking the Shelves is a weekly event hosted on Tynga's Reviews where we can share what new books we've picked up this past week be they bought, borrowed or downloaded. There are also lots of other 'book haul' memes out there for you to choose from!

As the title suggests I nearly gave in, after a whole month of buying no books, and splurged madly! I had some birthday money left over and burning a hole in my pocket and naturally the first thing I normally buy is books. It was so hard to resist but I did and instead put it in my Comic Con fund! I did get some review titles this week, both electronic and physical copies all of which I can't wait to read and sated my need for all the shiny, pretty, new books...

Don't forget to enter my birthday giveaway, open until midnight tomorrow so go here to check it out!

Book Haul #117, Or How To Survive The Holidays...

Stacking the Shelves is a weekly event hosted on Tynga's Reviews where we can share what new books we've picked up this past week be they bought, borrowed or downloaded. There are also lots of other 'book haul' memes out there for you to choose from!

Welcome to 2016!!! I'm so glad that the holidays are done & dusted, I don't think I stopped to do much of anything until this week and the insane amount of work I need to catch up on is not funny at all. Not having my Kindle Fire tablet is really impinging on my reading and requesting. I can't download anything from Edelweiss and a couple of titles I was approved for on Netgalley have already been archived because of fail... My new one is meant to arrive any time between January 12 and 18 so I'm counting down the days! Strangely enough I haven't compensated for this by rushing out and buying lots of physical copies of books instead.

Book Haul #112, Or The One Where I Bought All The Books... Again!

Stacking the Shelves is a weekly event hosted on Tynga's Reviews where we can share what new books we've picked up this past week be they bought, borrowed or downloaded. There are also lots of other 'book haul' memes out there for you to choose from!

So, since my last book haul post, I may have gone slightly mad... It's been 42 days and in those 42 days 30 new books have appeared in the house *looks round in shame at all the stacks* Of the books I bought a lot were finished copies of review books that I got signed at ComicCon & YALC and I knew I was going to go overboard there. Getting them home was another matter...

The rest are review titles and include some amazing books that I can't wait to read! I'm taking part in ARC August so I'm hoping some of them will get chosen from the Jar of Shame (my Netgalley version of a TBR jar!)

Top Ten Tuesday #93 - Last Ten Books That Came Into My Possession

Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by the wonderful gals cover at The Broke & The Bookish. This week's topic is -

Last Ten Books That Came Into My Possession

Having been away from home for a few weeks there's more than ten books that have come into my possession all at once! I love coming home to book post...

An Inheritance of Ashes - Review
Read the synopsis for this on Edelweiss and was hooked, can't wait to get started on it!

Sorcerer to the Crown - Review Copy
Have seen this mentioned everywhere so jumped at the chance to review it. This is my sort of fantasy!

Ink & Bone - Bought
It's about books, it's by Rachel Caine, no more to be said...

Birdy - Review Copy
Love books about friendships, especially ones that aren't all they appear to be! Hoping to start this one this week!

Nest - Won
I've seen this one mentioned a lot recently recently so was thrilled to win a copy from Viv at Serendipity Reviews

Blood Song - Audiobook
I have read this as a hard copy although Goodreads says I haven't... Giving audiobooks another try (they always send me to sleep) so this is one for the train.

We'll Never Be Apart - Review Copy
Love YA pychological thrillers and this one features twins! Another book for the read soon pile.

Uprooted - Bought
Even though I own a review copy on Kindle I had to buy a hard copy! Probably a contender for book of the year, everyone should read this.

The Wanderers - Review Copy
Having really enjoyed Dark Days I've been stalking Edelweiss waiting for this one to go up!

Letters To Zell - Kindle
Letters To Zell was my Kindle First freebie for June through Amazon. Already read it and loved it! An interesting take on fairy tales.
