Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading.
Anyone can play along! Just do the following:
• Grab your current read
• Open to a random page
• Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
• BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
• Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!
This week's snippet is from Masque Of The Red Death by Bethany Griffin, I'm about halfway through and really enjoying it so far but then I'm a sucker for a pretty cover and anything influenced by the great Edgar Allan Poe is always going to get read by me.
'Elliott has a small steam carriage, faster and less elaborate than April's. The seats are close together, and I'm aware of him beside me, that my bare knee is touching his leg, but as we navigate the streets I forget him and stare out at the rubble.'
What's your teaser this week?
Sounds sad. Wonder what happened. Good teaser.

A carriage, rubble and sexual tension -- what a "can't miss" teaser. Here's Mine
ReplyDeleteI like the cover, it's red and has a mask in it. I'm shallow like that. The teaser is a good choice too, intriguing. :)
ReplyDeleteHere's my teaser
Your teaser made me wonder lots of things: Is this a steam punk novel or historical? Why is there rubble everywhere? What's going on between the two characters?
ReplyDeleteMy Teaser is from A COLLIE RESCUE.
Great teaser! I really want to read this one and it is on my TBR list for fall reads. Here’s my teaser: http://whatsontheshelf.wordpress.com/2012/09/18/teaser-tuesday-27/
