Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by the lovely people at
The Broke and the Bookish. This week's topic is a topic of your choice so I chose my favorite female authors! And, because it's a freebie this week, I'm throwing the rules out of the window and you get some bonus answers too :) This is a fairly comprehensive list of either my favorite book or the first book I read by them. It's a list female authors who have written books that I've fallen in love with and have become auto-buy authors. I'm sure I've missed some off the list that should be startlingly obvious but I cannot think of who they are!
Top Fifteen Favorite Female Authors
I loved The Girl who Circumnavigated Fairyland - I really need to carry on with that series. I want to start reading some Ursula le Guin at some point. Great list!

I love your topic and answers. Many of these authors are on my TBR list, and this is one reason to get to them sooner. I do agree with the ones I've read, Atwood and Valente, but my list wouldn't even have begun without Rowling!
