Book Haul #116, Or How To Get Over A Life Slump...

Stacking the Shelves is a weekly event hosted on Tynga's Reviews where we can share what new books we've picked up this past week be they bought, borrowed or downloaded. There are also lots of other 'book haul' memes out there for you to choose from!

So... Hi! My name's Fi and I'm a very bad blogger. Actually I've been bad at everything recently and rather than write the same thing all over again see here for my heartfelt apology about being MIA. Moving on to the book side of things it would seem not having the energy or patience to do anything extends to buying books and, to a lesser extent, requesting review books! I have only bought three books since my last book haul post in September! One of those was my pre-order of The Vanishing Throne which I ordered on May 9 2014 and if I'm honest forgot all about...

Top Ten Tuesday #72 - Characters You Wish Would Get Their OWN Book

Top Ten Characters You Wish Would Get Their OWN Book

I'm guilty of not always paying attention to the secondary characters in books apart from the odd one who sticks in my mind for some reason. These are the characters I remember most vividly including one which is a bit of a cheat!

Auri

Patrick Rothfuss must have read my mind. Auri is one of my favorite characters so I can't wait to read Slow Regard!

 Jasper

I know Twilight is hugely unpopular these days but given Jasper's history I would love to read a book just about him. He is definitely the most interesting of the Cullen clan!

Chaol

Just because...

Finnick

Same as above!
Haymitch

I would love to read about Haymitch's younger days, when he won the Games especially.

Ian

Aside from Cat & Bones, Ian is my favorite character. I would definitely read a book where he was the main character.

Nix aka Nucking Futs Nix

Nix, oh Nix! I love her antics and she is without doubt my favorite in all of the Immortals After Dark books that I've read.

Calliope

I've only recently binge read my way through all three of Stephanie Perkins' books and Calliope is the only character I feel we didn't learn anything about or get her own Happily Ever After. This must be rectified!

Hermione, Luna & Snape

Who doesn't want to know more about some of the most loved characters in fiction? I would love to read a book about Snape as a child and growing up

Top Ten Tuesday #63 - Books I'm Not Sure I Want To Read Anymore

Top Ten Books I'm Not Sure I Want To Read Anymore

I have a terrible habit of doing this. I'll buy a book because I love the cover or I've heard good things about or everyone in the universe seems to be reading it. And I don't... It sits on my shelf gathering dust while I procrastinate about what to read! Most of these titles are mostly because I'm burnt out on series, The Casual Vacancy though was a gift from someone who knew I liked reading but obviously has no clue about my reading tastes.

Top Ten Tuesday #40 - Books That Will Make You Cry

Top Ten Books That Will Make You Cry

So, apparently every other book I read makes me cry... Even books that are probably only meant to make you a tiny bit sad have me sobbing, I have no idea why as I never used to be a reader that cried over books but apparently now I am. Here's the top ten books I've read that made me cry everything from a few tears to complete sobbing teary mess, plus three books I own but haven't read yet know are going to make me cry. Interesting side note! Of the ten books I've read seven have been made into movies, most of which I haven't seen - obviously including TFIOS which hasn't been released yet!
