Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by the lovely people at
The Broke and the Bookish. This week's topic is -
Top Ten Most Unique Books I've Read
As soon as I saw this topic I instantly thought of House of Leaves by Mark Z Danielewski, which has to be one of the most original novels published - that I've read anyway, and anything by Aimee Bender! After that initial burst I could not think of a single title so this is my attempt at a top ten of the most unique books I've read. The first two are authors that, to me, are utterly unique in their writing! The rest are books that for one reason or another I found a bit different to anything else similar I'd read.
Lovely to see someone else with The Particular Sadness of Lemon Cake on their list. I thought it was a fantastic book. Great list!
ReplyDeleteThirteen Reasons Why was on my list too, great picks! I am intrigued by The Particular Sadness Of Lemon Cake, and will be checking it out :)
ReplyDeleteGreat list :) I have read a few of these myself - Every Day, The Book Thief and Thirteen Reasons Why - definitely agree that they are all unique. Have seen Cinder on so many lists today, looking forward to reading that one myself. My TTT.
ReplyDeleteooh I really loved Cinder! :D I do think it's a very unique book .. I've read the first half of The Book Thief but I haven't finish the other half but I really love that book! I should finish it soon :))

The Book Thief! Woohoo! I agree. 13 Reasons Why was a great pick as well. The narration was very clever. I hope the movie is made soon.
