Random Reads #4 - Still Waters

Random Reads is a monthly meme hosted by Sarah at I’m Loving Books.  This feature is to get us reading a random book within the month that is in our TBR stack.

Random Reads is a meme where we pick a random book from our shelf to read within the month. Feel free to do more than one per month, but since a lot of people have a lot of books to read each month, only one is “required” for the meme.

Want to join in on Random Reads?

It’s easy…

  1. If you’re on Goodreads enable sorting to your to-read shelf (you should see numbers next to each book now).
  2. Go to Random.org and type in the Min as 1 and the Max as how many ever books are on your to-read shelf.
  3. Scroll down to the book matching the number Random.org picks.
  4. Link up to your Random Reads post (below). If you choose more than one book per month, be sure to put a number by your name in the list so it doesn’t look like a duplicate.
  5. Read and be merry!

This month Random chose number 188 which is

Still Waters - Emma Carlson Berne
This has been on my shelf since December 30th 2011 so counts towards my OTS challenge which I think I should give up on as there's no way I'm going to reach anywhere between 130 & 200 books from my shelves by the end of the year! This is one that I'm looking forward to reading and don't forget to look out for my review during September. Remember to pop over to I'm Loving Books if you want to join in!

I read (and loved) last month's Random Read, Starling by Lesley Livingston, and I've written a review which I scheduled to go up yesterday but it appears to have disappeared so will write it up again and post it later!

  1. I do something similar to this (books in a jar) and so far I've managed to read a couple of books I didn't think I'll ever get to. I've heard amazing things about Still Waters so hope you end up enjoying it!

  2. I haven't heard of this one yet. But I'm glad you enjoyed last months! What/where is the OTS challenge? That sounds like something I might like if they're doing it again next year. :)
