Anyone who knows me is familiar with my love of all things Halloween and spooky so this month long giveaway is perfect! The prize for this giveaway is a book (up to the value of $15) that's spooky, scary, or terrifying - or all three! If you don't want to choose a title then you can pick either
The Shining or
Doctor Sleep from the master of scary fiction, Stephen King. The giveaway is open internationally as long as
you live in a country that the
Book Depository ships to, check out

ReplyDeleteI actually haven't read that many scary books. I have read a lot of murder mysteries, but those are usually not that scary. I really want to read some of Stephen Kings books though, because I've heard so many good stories about them.

I actually haven't read a lot of scary books but the one that probably creeped me out the most was Gothika by Clara Tahoces. And I've never read anything from Stephen King (except for a short story for a class) so I'd like to read something from him!

ReplyDeleteI am only just now starting to read really scary books, but since I am a wimp, some mystery books are creepy to me, so I would have to say the older Mary Higgins Clark books (not the ones from the past 3 years or so)
ReplyDeleteAlfred Hitchcock, Bella Lugosi and Vincent Price will always be the Kings of Horror to me!! Vincent Price is from St. Louis which is where I live. We had a Vincent Price movie festival last year. It was AWESOME!

ReplyDeleteAlthough I love scary movies, I don't really read horror. The closest I get are PNRs and UFs which I seem to be obsessed with. :)
