Welcome to Classics Retold 2013! I saw this on The Cheap Reader a few months ago and, having just read a retelling of Frankenstein, decided to sign up for the Nineteenth Century and Gothic Classics Retold Project hosted by Bookish Whimsy. As is probably obvious I chose Frankenstein as my classic and ever since I've been on the lookout for re-tellings of Frankenstein, as well as re-reading the original novel by Mary Shelley. I've also been watching movie versions of Frankenstein, mostly all true-to-the-book versions but a handful of other things too.
Over the next four weeks look out for reviews including Frankenstein: Prodigal Son by Dean Koontz, Dr. Frankenstein's Daughter's by Suzanne Weyn and Broken by A E Rought - and general chitchat about the movies I've seen and so on. I'll also be linking up to the Off To Oz giveaway hosted by Angela's Anxious Life and I Am A Reader Not A Writer where you can win a retelling of your choice and I'll be giving away a copy of my favorite retelling of Frankenstein or the original novel during the last week of the project.

I read Broken and enjoyed that, so I'm really looking forward to your review! And it looks like you have a great collection of books and films to explore for Frankenstein. I read it a long time ago but I enjoyed it. :) Thanks for participating (and adding your link to the linky! :D)
