Waiting On Wednesday, where we put the spotlight on upcoming releases that we're eagerly anticipating, is hosted by Jill at Breaking The Spine.

And cue the flailing! And more flailing! Excited squeals! And you get the picture.... This week's choice is -

The Lie Tree - Frances Hardinge
ISBN - 9781447264101
Publisher - Macmillan Children's Books
Expected release date - May 7 2015

The leaves were cold and slightly clammy. There was no mistaking them. She had seen their likeness painstakingly sketched in her father's journal. This was his greatest secret, his treasure and his undoing. The Tree of Lies. Now it was hers, and the journey he had never finished stretched out before her.

When Faith's father is found dead under mysterious circumstances, she is determined to untangle the truth from the lies. Searching through his belongings for clues she discovers a strange tree. A tree that feeds off whispered lies and bears fruit that reveals hidden secrets. The bigger the lie, and the more people who believe it, the bigger the truth that is uncovered.

But as Faith's untruths spread like wildfire across her small island community, she discovers that sometimes a single lie is more potent than any truth
.

Eeeeeeeeee! A new Frances Hardinge book! I've been patiently waiting for a cover for The Lie Tree so I could WoW it so when this popped up I was overly excited. I have no idea if this is the final cover or not, I've looked on Macmillan's website, Frances' own website, Twitter, but can find nothing. I hope it is the final cover as I kind of love it!

In honor of The Lie Tree being released in May I've decided to name the month of May Frances Hardinge Month! I'm re-reading everything so there will be reviews, a couple of giveaways and hopefully something secretly exciting :) Stay tuned!

    1. I keep wondering if I've ruined some big cover reveal or something as I couldn't find any info anywhere! Oh well... You should definitely try something by Frances, maybe Cuckoo Song or A Face Like Glass first?
