Top Ten Tuesday #78 - 2014 Releases I Meant To Read But Didn't Get To

Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by the fabulous gals cover at The Broke & The Bookish. This week's topic is -

Top Ten 2014 Releases I Meant To Read But Didn't Get To

There are a lot of 2014 releases that I didn't get round to last year. I've been getting together my statistics for last year and if I've worked it correctly, just under a third of the books I read last year were published last year! Which means two thirds weren't... Here's a sample list of 2014 releases that I didn't read last year, kicking myself about not reading them last year and will read, soon hopefully. Especially Ophelia and the Marvelous Boy because I've heard so many good things. Maybe not Gods & Monsters because that's it, series over - same for Book of Life.

  1. Cress was amazing, I would put it up at the top of your reading list if I was you. I hope you enjoy your readings :)

  2. Great list! I am currently reading Ruin and Rising and it's great so far. I'd also like to read Lock In and Ophelia and the Marvelous Boy. I was kind of overwhelmed by all the 2014 releases on my TBR! Good luck with your pile of books! Hope you enjoy them!

  3. Cress is on my list this week, too! I've not even started Leigh Bardugo's series yet, but I want to. Maybe this year... :)

  5. CRESS! This book was the best in the series so far, honestly. The group dynamic was sooo cool and having everyone together and AH. I loved it!

  7. The only book on your list I've read is Lock In, which I loved! But oh yes, I still need to read Cress, Gods & Monsters, Ancillary Sword, and Book of Life. Awesome list, good luck, I hope you get to them all this year:-D

  10. I've only read one of these -- CRESS. I loved it, but I've loved all the books in the series. Can't wait for FAIREST and WINTER.

    Happy TTT!

  12. There's quite a few on here that I haven't gotten round to myself, seeing as I only recently became a book blogger in specifically in August! I hope to read the complete Lunar Chronicles so far before a new one comes out.

    1. I think there will always be books we never quite get round to in the year they're published! I think it's the nature of a bookworm, blogging just makes it worse :)

  13. I should write: "Read Dreams of Gods and Monsters" a hundred times here because, that book. I can't even put into words, but that novel blew me away, and was my top book for 2014.
