Top Ten Tuesday #63 - Books I'm Not Sure I Want To Read Anymore

Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by the lovely people at The Broke and the Bookish. This week's topic is -

Top Ten Books I'm Not Sure I Want To Read Anymore

I have a terrible habit of doing this. I'll buy a book because I love the cover or I've heard good things about or everyone in the universe seems to be reading it. And I don't... It sits on my shelf gathering dust while I procrastinate about what to read! Most of these titles are mostly because I'm burnt out on series, The Casual Vacancy though was a gift from someone who knew I liked reading but obviously has no clue about my reading tastes.

  1. I'm tired of all the Rowling hype. I won't be reading any of her books any time soon. No matter what name she writes under.

Here's my list of Books I'm Not Sure I Want to Read.

  2. Casual Vacancy is a hot favourite with this topic. Though it did not make my list even I'm not sure about The Selection and Shatter Me. And I've never read any House of Night books. As for Chloe Neill, I read till Wild Things, but I'm not sure anymore. Her last few books haven't been that great. Here's my TTT

  3. Ah A Casual Vacancy made my list too along with the Selection. I didn't really love Matched, but I ADORED A Million Suns and Shades of Earth. Good luck! :)

  4. I know everyone loves the Shatter Me series, but I did not enjoy the first book. I never understood how a girl could go from fearing people touching her to making out with a guy so quickly. The Selection was awful too, I'm not even sure why I picked it up in the first place.

  6. Matched and The Selection are two I've been contemplating on reading. I don't know if I ever will though because I've heard really mixed things about both.

    Here's my TTT :)

  7. Shatter Me and The Casual Vacancy made my list too. I just don't think I'll enjoy them for different reasons, though being such a huge Harry Potter fan, I feel so terrible!

  8. I actually very much enjoyed The Casual Vacancy, but I find I have been loving her adult stuff even more than Harry Potter (...excuse me while I run and duck for cover!) but I can understand why people would be reluctant to check it out. It's VERY different!

  9. I haven't heard of most of those books, but the Shatter Me series seems to make a lot of lists!

  10. Shatter me and The casual vacancy are both on my list as well. I'm so scared to change my opinion about Rowling, because I love HP so much. And Shatter me has so many mixed opinions..

  12. Matched was great...the other two in the series, not so much. The Shatter Me trilogy, on the other hand, just gets better with each book! The character development in all the main characters by the last book is truly impressive! Kenji is probably my favorite supporting character ever.

  13. I sold off Halo when I read the reviews, and some of the writing. The cover is awesome but.....no, thank you.
