Netgalley November Update #2

End of week two of Netgalley November! What a difference a week makes... I have been a reading machine this week, now I just need to translate that talent into a reviewing machine. Oh well, I'll get there :) Next week, I'll probably fail spectacularly as I'm away from Wednesday through to Saturday with not much time for reading so this weekend I need to do nothing but read!

Goals

Difficult Level - Read (And Review) 16 to 20 Netgalley titles

Week Two Reads

After Eden - Helen Douglas (Review)

When The World Was Flat (and we were in love) - Ingrid Jonach (Review)

Fortunately, the Milk - Neil Gaiman (Review)

Slumber - Tamara Blake

The Woken Gods - Gwenda Bond

 Started

The Devil's Apprentice - Jan Siegel

A Wounded Name - Dot Hutchison

Week One Reads

Seven Forges - James A Moore (Review)

Book of Secrets - Elizabeth Joy Arnold (Review)

Read Previously But Not Reviewed

Full Blooded - Amanda Carlson

Ink - Amanda Sun

    1. Thank you! This could well possibly be my best week so I'm basking in the fact I managed to read 5 NG titles :)

  2. Go you!! I only got one novella done this week. I tend to write a quickie review in NetGalley as soon as I finish the book, and then update it later with a link and my full review once I get around to posting it on my blog. Then, at least the feedback is logged.

    1. That is a really good idea! I may have to train myself to write reviews differently, I always start off meaning to write something quite brief but end up with a novel *no pun intended

    2. I really like this idea Krista, but I know that I would probably never get around to writing the full review

    1. I'm getting there with %, slowly but surely! Not requesting anything, okay requesting one title, in the last three weeks has really helped too :)

  5. I started The Woken Gods ages ago and got side-tracked. Have a couple of titles I want to read before but I will finish it!

    1. I did exactly the same thing, started it the day I downloaded it but couldn't get into it. This time, picked it up and didn't stop until I'd finished. Great book and definitely worth sticking with :)

  6. Nice work! After Eden is on my list of books to read during this challenge… we'll see if it happens. I'm trying to alternate between reading books that released long ago and ones that are releasing soon as I tackle my NetGalley backlog. Good luck next week!

    1. I'm really enjoying A Wounded Name but I've put it to one side for now as I'm not giving it the attention it deserves and will pick it up again a couple of weeks when I'm not trying to read a dozen books at a time :)

  8. It looks like you've got a lot read! The reviews can always come later... to me it's the reading them first and choosing which order to read them in that's the hard part. Good luck!

  9. What did you think of "When the World Was Flat..."? I have that one to read and kept meaning to start it several times over but never got a chance.
