Favorite Adult Novels of 2014

It was hard to pick my favorite adult novels from 2014. Although I'd read plenty and gave most four stars I still don't have any clear favorites. This lists the books that stuck in my mind most, that I fell in love with and bought multiple copies of to give to people! As with my YA list I'm pretty sure there are books that were far more obvious but I've somehow skipped over them.

Landline

Ready Player One

Throne of the Crescent Moon

Poison

Smiler's Fair

Jasmyn

Ancillary Justice

The Days of the Deer

Peacemaker

Between Two Thorns

  1. I'm glad that you enjoyed Jasmyn so much. It is one of my favourite books by Alex! :-)

    1. I really enjoyed it! Kicking myself for losing the copy I bought when it first came out and for taking so long to request it from the library. I've bought another copy now which I'm sure I'll reread at some point as I think her writing is superb.

  2. I don't read a lot of adult fiction, although I would like to begin reading more. I read and loved Landline, though!

    1. I've been meaning to read it for over a year but I absolutely loved it, especially as I was considering not finishing it early on. Now I'm dying to read the sequel which doesn't appear to have a release date.

  4. I haven't read any books on this list and I found several I added to my TBR. Especially Smiler's fair sounds good! Days of the deer has been standing on my shelves for a while now. I'm really exciting to start it, but I own it in Spanish and I just don't know if my Spanish is good enough yet so it seems a bit daunting :)

    1. I did Spanish all the way up to college level but I honestly don't think I could have read Days of the Deer in Spanish! I'm still trying to find out if the publisher is ever going to sell the second (translated) book in the series but it doesn't seem to be very hopeful. Smiler's Fair was fantastic, definitely give it a go!
