I never get books for Christmas, I think people are either too scared to pick something in case I don't like it or they think I don't need any more books... I already own most of these but I'm a sucker for a pretty cover and the Christmas Fairy (ie. me) might accidentally have ordered a couple of these!
if those are first editions would be great
ReplyDeleteGreat list! I'm similar to you in some respects in that I like to treat myself to books around Christmas time, especially as a lot of people I know are never sure which books I already have. That edition of The Bloody Chamber is very pretty - and it's introduced by Kelly Link! Very cool.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE Angela Carter. I have that book, it's great. And Atwood too! Two of my most favourite authors! :D
ReplyDeleteGreat list! Merry Christmas.

Wow that cover of a SECRET GARDEN is gorgeous. I hear fantastic things about Angela Carter but haven't read anything yet by her. Great list and Merry Christmas!

This is a great list! I've always wanted to read the Handmaid's Tale, I've just never gotten round to it. The Bloody Chamber looks interesting, I'm going to have to check that out. Hope you get them all! --collegiatecatlady.com
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful list and that edition of The Secret Garden is absolutely lovely. I hope you have a very merry Christmas.
ReplyDeleteI never get books for Christmas either. I don't ask for them though, I'm quite picky when it comes to what books I read, so it's easier for people just to give me money to buy them myself!
